TeenTech 2011

The Cobus Communications Group are participating in the first ever Hull 'TeenTech' technology event at the KC stadium on the 14th May. The Humber Education Business Partnership (EBP) has been chosen as one of the two areas in the UK to run the award winning TeenTech event created by Maggie Philbin, Science Broadcaster and Chris Dodson of the IoD. The event takes place at the KC Stadium on the 14th July 2011 where 300 students aged 12-13 will have the opportunity to try their hand at experiments, handle leading edge technology and, most importantly to meet the engineers, technicians and scientists behind their 21st century lives. Teen Tech will show young teenagers how their love for mobile phones and computer games could act as a gateway to a rewarding career developing the next generation of must have gadgets.

Over 30 Local & National Employers in Science, Engineering & Technology will provide intriguing and practical encounters. The event allows students to be inspired by 'real' engineers and have the chance to find out what's really involved in their work and how important certain subjects like Maths and Physics can be for future careers.

Cobus is committed to helping Hull Youngsters learn about the business community and about the exciting technology that we work with.
