Cobus joined 170 supporters of Hull Children’s University who donned tuxedos and cocktails dresses for their annual Charity Ball at Hull’s Guildhall on Friday 26th June. The event was hosted by BBC Radio Humberside’s Carl Wheatley and Sally Fairfax and upon arrival guests were treated to a champagne reception which was sponsored by Cobus, Gold Sponsors of Hull Children’s University.

At the event we got an exclusive preview of the amazing new Hull Children’s University Bus which was donated by East Yorkshire Coaches, then Professor Mike Jackson, Chair of Trustees at Hull Children’s University, welcomed the guests and expressed how proud he was of how well the charity is doing after what could have been a difficult year in it’s history due to staff changes and guests were thanked for their attendance and ongoing support.

Natasha Banke, Hull Children’s University’s new Director thanked business sponsors for their support and emphasised how important it is that businesses continue to support the charity in order for it to carry on delivering it’s programmes to local children.

Guests were all treated to a delicious three course meal and we enjoyed the fantastic table magic which was provided by John Morton, Magician, followed by a fundraising auction which raised £800. After the meal it was time for some music from The Mike Brown Band and a gamble on the casino tables and the evening ended raising a fantastic sum of £4641.50
