Role/Job Description:

We are looking for a suitably qualified IT professional to provide a high standard of support at all levels to clients on and off site by assisting with hardware and software issues via phone/email and helpdesk system as well as carry out new installations and rollouts. To be successful in this role you will be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills. You will demonstrate leadership and have a passion for IT with a willingness to learn and desire to become part of our friendly, efficient team. As well as joining a strong and dedicated engineering team this role will provide the right candidate with excellent career progression opportunities and the ability to learn new skills within the technology and communications arena with continued professional development and training when/where required. The chosen individual will be expected to work alone and as part of a team as/when required and will liaise with/support other internal departments such as the Sales Department to ensure that new proposals are delivered to clients with accuracy.

 Basic Requirements/Skillset:

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting our client’s IT infrastructure.
  • Installing, configuring and supporting our internal IT systems and related software applications.
  • Managing helpdesk workflow & incident logging using CRM to track and resolve helpdesk calls.
  • Assist with benchwork and pre-configuration of hardware – workstations, laptops, VOIP phones.
  • Installation and support of firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, VOIP PBX’s (hosted and on-premise) and servers.
  • Maintain and monitor virtualised environments.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or relevant industry experience).
  • A good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and networking.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 etc.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full U.K. driving license and have a car (expenses paid).
  • Willingness to become part of a team and to help in its growth.
