Cobus were proud to support and sponsor the 2016 Hull Disability Sports Awards held at the KCOM Stadium. The prestigious awards came back for the 3rd year running to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of those involved in local disability sport. The event celebrated the fact that Hull is one of only three cities in the UK which holds it’s own Disability Sports awards and as well as celebrating the achievements of disabled sports athletes, the evening offered a chance to pay tribute to the ‘unsung heroes’ who help to make the disability sports community in Hull so strong.

There were 16 awards up for grabs on the night, the winners were selected by local businesses and Cobus sponsored the New Player of the Year Award which was open to anyone who has taken up disability sport in the past 12 months, either with a team or at an inclusive sports club.

The winner was announced as Neil Smith and Michael Smith Cobus MD who presented his award said “It was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of local sportspeople and Cobus are delighted to be able to show our support for these awards once again, which continue to grow in popularity year on year.”
