We are very excited to announce our commitment to Hull and East Yorkshire’s Powerchair Football Club for the next two seasons.

Hull & East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club is the region’s first & only powerchair football club. Formerly known as East Riding Electric Eels the club was formed in 2012 following two successful taster sessions. Since then, the club has grown significantly within playing numbers to more than 20 players. Its main aim is to allow physically disabled people to play a fast-paced team game, something that most of the members we have never been able to do. Most of our members are people that can’t physically play sports like wheelchair basketball and struggle to find a team sport they can take part in independently.

Hull & East Yorkshire PFC Marketing & Communications officer, Kai said: “We are extremely delighted to have secured Cobus Communications as our main sponsor for the next two seasons. Since, our first discussions with Mike and Emma about the club they have been proactive in watching the club develop and offering support. This sponsorship highlights the impeccable support that Mike and his team at Cobus Communications have upon the charitable and local community projects within the area. We welcome Cobus Communications to the club with open arms and look forward to having them cheer us on at our home matches.”

Cobus Communications Sales and Marketing Manager Emma Waudby said: “ We are delighted to announce we are the headline sponsor and look forward to working with Kai and the team over the next two years. The passionate and determined attitudes are clear and inspiring to see and like us, team work really is at the heart of this community. ”

Cobus MD, Michael Smith added: “ This synergy made it an easy decision to make and we are excited about supporting the team. ”
