Cobus Communications MD Michael Smith is taking on the Yorkshire 3-Peaks challenge again to raise funds for Hull Children’s University, our nominated Cobus Foundation Charity for 2015 who are a fantastic local charity that provides awesome experiences for underpriviledged children across our region.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the imposing peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Michael will be undertaking the hike alone but with associated support and is understandably aprehensive but says “I am confident I can complete the challenge in under 9 hours, after a PB of 9 Hours 14 minutes last year! This is the fourth year in a row I have undertaken the climb but every year it takes a massive effort to complete, however each cause is so deserving that it spurs me on and I hope to raise hundreds of pounds for this years charity.”
