Julia’s success reflects not only her hard work and commitment, but also the strength of the skills, values, and customer-focused approach she brings to her role at Cobus Communications Group every day.

Michael Smith, Managing Director said

“Having spent some time working with Julia in a supportive role I’ve been impressed with her positive ‘can-do’ application to any given challenge, she’s resourceful and a quick learner – she doesn’t need to be told the same thing twice! From a wider company perspective Julia demonstrates what Cobus is all about and how we have a ‘customer first’ approach to delivering the right products and services to our valued clients.”

Delivering Excellence in Real-World Digital Support

As part of her End Point Assessment, Julia completed a detailed project based on a real customer support scenario, demonstrating how she resolved a complex telephony issue that was impacting a new starter’s ability to work effectively.

Her work showcased strong technical ability alongside excellent judgement, communication, and professionalism – all qualities that are essential in delivering high-quality support to Cobus customers.

Assessors praised Julia for:

  • Maintaining high standards of data accuracy and security, and understanding the impact this has on both the business and its customers
  • Applying security policies and best practice to protect systems and minimise risk
  • Providing clear, confident, and professional customer support aligned with Cobus’s values and code of conduct
  • Demonstrating strong business awareness, including the importance of SLAs and digital service reliability
  • Reflecting on her own performance and identifying ways to improve future support outcomes

This well-rounded approach earned Julia a Distinction in both assessment components, highlighting her ability to perform at a consistently high level.

Investing in People, Building Careers

At Cobus, we believe in developing our people and supporting long-term career growth. Julia’s achievement is a great example of how apprenticeships can build practical expertise while strengthening the service we provide to our customers.

Julia has grown significantly in confidence and capability throughout her apprenticeship, and her success is a credit to the commitment she brings to her role and to the wider team around her.

Emma Waudby, Commercial Director said

Julia has quickly proven herself to be an exceptional apprentice. Her tenacity, strong work ethic, and willingness to apply herself to every task makes her stand out. She approaches challenges with honesty, determination, and a genuine desire to learn, making her a real asset to the team.”

We’re delighted to see her hard work recognised and look forward to supporting the next stage of her career at Cobus.

Congratulations, Julia – a brilliant achievement and thoroughly deserved!
